All the Cold Storage persons are eligible to become the Members of Gujarat Cold Storage Associations of India

  • We are providing a platform where any state association can be in touch with other states and gather the required details about the production of various crops stored within the cold storages, disposal of the stored products and the rates prevailing at any period of time. If any state develops any technology for the storage of any agricultural produce then that technology will be communicated to our members. We are providing full details regarding potato crops which are the main product to be stored in cold storages of India. We have provided technology for the storage of eggs, jaggery, and ripening of banana. At present federation is dealing with the construction of multi chamber storages for the storage of various types of fruits and vegetables pertaining to Indian condition. Knowledge is given regarding center laws which are concerned with all states, like service tax, income tax, tax deducted at source, excise (if at all).

    Electricity is a major point of expense in cold storages, knowledge regarding distribution and quality is essentially required. This is being communicated by the federation.

    In addition, labour laws, health insurance, general insurance, fire fighting methods, etc. are also explained to the members.

    Printing of newsletters, calling reputed machinery manufacturers at one platform and circulating about their qualities to our members is done by us regularly.

  • All the Cold Storage Associations of States of India are eligible to become the Members of Federation of Cold Storage Associations of India with initial fees of Rs.25,000/-. Countries outside India are also welcome to become the Member of the Federation as Honarary Members. They do not have to deposit any Fees. They are simply to send their consent. If more than one Association is active in any Country all the Associations have to apply separately. For the States of India, consent letter addressed to the President, Federation of Cold Storage Associations of India along with a Bank Draft in the name of Federation of Cold Storage Associations of India, payable at Lucknow is required.

    Since individual cold storages can not become the Member of Federation of Cold Storage Associations of India they can attend the Meeting and obtain all other information pertaining by becoming Member of their State Association which should be the Member of the Federation of Cold Storage Associations of India. Otherwise, they can directly apply for the Membership of Cold Storage Association Uttar Pradesh by paying Rs.50,000/- and filling the below given Form “Application for Membership” Such Members shall be provided free copy of the Directory and Monthly Patrika and other communications and shall be entitled to attend the Meeting of the Federation of Cold Storage Associations of India and Cold Storage Association Uttar Pradesh. Further, for any other information regarding the Cold Storage Industry, they can seek assistance of Federation of Cold Storage Associations of India as well as Cold Storage Association Uttar Pradesh.
